Belarus Big Data User Group Meetup #18
18.45-19.00: Welcome coffee
19.00-19.50: "Modeling IoT with TitanDB and Azure Big Data Stack – Rehearsal", Roman Novik, EPAM Systems
Something about time-series and graph modeling, how to marry these two at first glance incompatible models together, to achieve brilliant performance and convenience.
Ah! and closer to the subject: how to impose such hybrid data model on big data stack in the cloud!
19.50-20.10: Coffee break
20.10-21.00 “Apache Drill: How to do interactive ad-hoc query at scale”, Eugen Yushin, ISsoft (CoherentSolutions)
Apache Drill is designed to support high-performance analysis on top of semi-structured and rapidly evolving data sources. Inspired by Google Dremel (BigQuery), Drill use SQL language to query a variety of NoSQL databases (including HBase/MapR-DB, MongoDB) and file systems (HDFS/MapR-FS, Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage, Swift, NAS) and local files.
We will cover how to use Apache Drill, what are the basic concpets, architecure level, and how we use it in our projects.
No registration required.
No fees to attend.
